UIARS is pleased to:
Provide short term counselling for a wide range of personal concerns such as family conflicts, stress, emotional issues, loss and grief, addictions and financial or legal difficulties. The location of the counselling office, in the community rather than at the work site, increases client anonymity and confidentiality. All program use is strictly voluntary.
Help employees connect with specific outside resources when appropriate.
Provide critical incident stress debriefing and trauma recovery work.
Organize a series of life enrichment groups eg: Couple's Enhancement, Men's Communications and Parenting groups.
Provide access to a variety of resource books, handouts and videos.
Present or coordinate resources for work place educational presentations.
